"Pastor Owase Theophilus you came and left an indelible mark in my life and in those you met. You lived out the love of Christ and poured yourself yet never ran dry. You were a man on a mission and had a mandate. You oozed life and saw the best of those who came in contact with you. You emptied yourself and many lived to their best potential. I am one of them You passionately love the Lord and those He died for. I am forever grateful that I met you in 2009 when you came to pioneer the Campus Ministry in Kenya. I was born again and filled with the Spirit but you gave me a different perspective of ministry. That one, I am a minister of reconciliation and that two, I represent the heavenly kingdom in everything I do and say. I am God's hands and feet in my world. You taught me my identity in Christ and impacted in me the desire to honor God and His Word through your passion for His Word and service to Him. It didn't matter where you started, you always won. More than anything you won the hearts of many to the Kingdom of God. You won through love, genuine care, faith in the least of us all and you became a living proof of a loving God. You pursued each one of us as though we were the only ones in your view and care. A man of integrity and liquid love. You were consistent in prayer, discipline, outshow of strength, studying and sharing the Word. Your passion was infectious. You trained me to pray for others by praying with me. Your heart beat was always for those who have not heard the Gospel. Even up to last year, when I would make videos to share the Word, you would watch them and give me feedback on how to even make them better. You called to encourage me to keep serving the Lord. Always a phone call away You gave us many opportunities to bring out our very best. For me, it was decoration, dancing, sharing the Word, missions, evangelism, academics, giving, excellence and being involved in ministry. I saw the joy you had in the people you raised including me and I wanted to be like you. I listened when you corrected or rebuked me. You rejoiced with us and celebrated us publicly. You taught me to value people and to love them. You inspired our gifts as though we were on a global platform when we couldn't even see past the UoN CCU building stage. You prophetically called me Mimshach. I am grateful. You honored those above you. You taught us even the smallest things mattered - how to be accountable, communicate, dress, behavior, conversations, company, investments. You were a mentor that many were not actively looking for as it's hard to find one, but once they met you, you were exactly what they needed. You stood for the Gospel of Christ, preached it with passion, stayed on the cause no matter the cost and you ran well. You gave us reasons to look at people as God's priced possessions. You challenged us to live beyond our comfort zone. You exhorted, charged and challenged us to be better. You called out the strength in us and corrected the rough edges we bore. In love, you shouted but your love shouted even stronger. You were my friend, mentor, teacher and role model. I will live to honor your legacy and to replicate so many things you multiplied through discipleship and mentorship. I dearly miss you. You loved my family - my husband and kids. You knew their names and prayed over them yet you had never met them in person. I have never been more encouraged to live out my life purpose than now and to live with heaven on my mind, knowing I will see you soon at the Resurrection morning. Rest well dear Servant of Christ. "I joined Christ Embassy Kenya and was immediately moved to campus ministry under Pastor Theo in 2009. Pastor took me in, loved me and was kind to me in those first years of my service in the house of God. I was facing a lot of problems including having a sick child and he made it easier by facilitating me evetime I needed to visit her. He taught me ministry , how to love the brethren genuinely. When I was moved to work in church ministry he prayed for me and guided me until I settled in there because it was a tougher terrain. He has checked on me ever since. He loved me tenderly until I stayed in ministry. I like to think of it as a mother nursing a child in a nursery until the child could be independent. Amazingly I felt mother love from Pastor... a phenomenal I have never experienced from anyone else. He was nurturing, patience and very encouraging until I stood. Pastor believed in me. I am here because of his love. 17 years later I love the brethren and I nurture them as he taught me. It's not goodbye for me...it's see you at the rapture of the church where I will come beating news of greater exploits because you trained me well. I love you Pastor sir"

"Best pastor in campus ministry! He Made the word of God Raw and direct to us.Gave me a fine jean jacket,He loved my talent and encouraged me to serve God with it. He had a good sense of humour and always smelled really nice anytime He gave me a hug. In the middle of a sermon he would stop and say "how are you" I haven't seen you in a while so you are hiding abi? Nice to see you again.Like who does that? Only Pst T Anytime Pst T was absent from Sunday service or Wednesday service Dcn always asked everyone to pray for Pst T where ever he is.i did but now😔 I wish I prayed more for you.... His journey was one of continuous spiritual growth, dedicated service and meaningful impact. In the relatively short time he was with us, he accomplished what many strive for over several decades of ministry. His life serves as a powerful reminder that true impact isn't measured by the number of years we live, but by the depth, quality, and eternal value of what we do with those years. Pastor Theo's years were few, but they were full. His ministry was brief, but its influence was far-reaching. His life was a compelling testament to God's goodness and the incredible power of divine grace working through a surrendered life. Looking back, I'm especially thankful that the qualities I admired in him as a child remained steadfast. His humility didn't hinder his greatness; it defined it. His respect for people didn't diminish his influence; it amplified it. His pursuit of success was always purposeful, and his passion for God became the bedrock upon which his life and ministry were built. Pastor Theo Owase lived a life that compels us to ask not just, "How long did I live?" but "What difference did I make while I lived?" By that measure, his life was indeed a very great testimony. Though his absence leaves a painful void, we find solace in knowing he lived a life of purpose, served faithfully and touched countless lives. His legacy will continue to resonate, inspire and challenge generations to come. Rest well, Pastor Theo. You came, you knew your God, you served your generation, and you left an indelible mark. Your earthly journey may have concluded sooner than we hoped, but the testimony of your life remains an enduring testament to God's goodness, grace and faithfulness. Your life was truly a life of impact. I read through some of the tributes people have written about you, and honestly, I am inspired to live an even better life because of the life you lived. You were kind, loving, full of life, and so easy to approach and love. I remember the last meaningful time I spent with you, during the shoot I did for your birthday. I joked that I hoped I would be the one to shoot your wedding next, and you laughed. That moment is one I will always remember. Seeing those pictures now being used as tributes to say goodbye to you makes me sad. But at the same time, looking at them and remembering how much fun, energy, laughter, and life you brought into that shoot brings a smile to my face. You had a way of lighting up the room and making every moment feel alive. You were also an incredible singer, and your passion for worship and the things of God inspired me deeply. Thank you, sir, for every time you taught me the Word of God, and for helping me see myself differently as God sees me. Every time I listened to your teaching, I knew I was going to have a good laugh, you were always fun even when teaching God’s word. I love you so much, sir. This is not goodbye.
