This side of heaven has not been the same since you left, but you've gone to be with your Lord, whom you loved so deeply and served with all your heart and life. "My Pastor, Pastor Theophilus Owase My Pastor, My Pastor as I would always say. My father, best friend, confidant and guide. Who’s going to call me “SJ” now? Who am I going to call now? My Pastor, Theophilus Owase! As you would often say, “This special daughter of mine.” Memories of meeting you for the first time and how I smiled because I finally had “My Pastor.” Indeed, God gave me the best. The opportunity of experiencing such love from you. Thank you, sir! Pastor lived and loved. Pastor’s love was liquid and palpable. A love that erases every lie and sees the truth. Pastor was excellence itself. “If it can be done a better way, then let it be done…” Pastor was sold out for the gospel. His sole purpose was to do the will of God and nothing else, and he did it with so much joy! My Pastor, a man of prayer. Every day, Pastor shared the importance of prayer and fellowship. Pastor loved everyone, not some, everyone!!! Pastor would always believe in you, your future, and show you from the Word the beautiful plans God has for you. His words, ever so encouraging. Pastor was so funny. He could get you laughing in seconds. Oh, such beautiful memories. For every laughter shared, I’m grateful. My Pastor, so lively. The memories I have are only those of you smiling, laughing and praising God with all of you, and those memories I choose to keep. Have I told you that Pastor is strict too? Haha, you don’t want to experience that! But every one of those corrections has shaped all the beautiful people around the world who live for God. My Pastor, ever understanding. I’m grateful for the opportunities, sir, to learn from you and see life through your lens. For always reminding me that “the Holy Spirit is my advantage.” I miss you so so much, Pastor sir, but we have the best memories, and I will hold on to them. On Monday, July 6th, the earth seemed to tilt beneath my feet. Only hours before your sudden transition, we had spoken—your voice warm, steady, and full of life. You told me you would call back that evening to finalize plans for the Discipleship Training Program in Togo. I waited for that call. I never knew it would become the last voice I would hear from you in this realm. Pastor Sir, you were more than a Regional Secretary to me. You were a father. You were the hand that steadied my walk when the path grew uncertain. You were the voice that spoke light into my darkest moments of doubt. For two years, from 2024 until that fateful evening, your leadership did not just guide the BLW Campus Ministry in the West Africa Region—it transformed me. I still hear your words ringing in my spirit, as clear as the day you spoke them: "The Man of God will hear of a Pastor Abraham, a Pastor Abraham the man of faith, Pastor Abraham of God, Pastor Abraham the Principality of Togo... Can't you see how passionate Pastor Abraham is?" Those words were not mere encouragement. They were prophecy. They were seeds planted in the soil of my destiny. And though you are no longer here physically, those words keep burning in my heart like an unquenchable fire. You saw something in me before I could see it in myself. You believed in me when I was still becoming. You were patient when I was imperfect. You loved me when I was unlovable. You wanted nothing but my best, and you made me want to be the kind of man who could make you proud. Pastor, you revolutionized my life for the Kingdom. You taught me that leadership is not about position—it is about presence. Not about power—but about pastoral heart. You showed me what it means to serve with excellence, to lead with humility, and to love without condition. The news of your homecall shook my faith, but it did not break it. Because I serve a God who does not waste pain. I serve a Savior who redeems every tear. And I stand on the truth that death is not the end—it is simply a transition into a fuller measure of His glory. "To my highly esteemed Regional Secretary, Over the last two years, your life has been a model of living entirely for God devoting yourself to serving Him, advancing His Kingdom, and ensuring His will is established in all the earth. In your assignment as the Regional Secretary of BLW Campus Ministry West Africa Region, you have led with extraordinary love. You have been far more than a Regional Secretary, more than a Pastor; you have been a father, a mentor, and a coach, always inspiring, encouraging, and praying for us. Yet above all, you were constantly inspiring me to lay hold of God’s plan for my life and to stand up for what needed to be done for the youth of Senegal through BLW Campus Ministry. I will never forget how you believed in me and trusted me when I was only beginning to understand the vision. When you came to Senegal in May 2024, I was a Christian, but I did not fully grasp our mission. In our very first meeting, before discussing anything else, you asked if we understood other mission, vision and purpose of our ministry, and you spent the entire afternoon explaining the vision, mission, and objectives of Believers' LoveWorld, Christ Embassy, and the BLW Campus Ministry. You believed that whatever the Lord needed done in Senegal could be accomplished through me. Thank you, Pastor, for your relentless love, guidance, and faith in us. Because of the trust you have placed in me, the wisdom you have imparted, and the love you have poured out, I commit myself to showing that same love to others. "I have never imagined I would be doing this, sir. Esteemed Pastor Theo was not just my pastor; he was also a father, a mentor, a safe place, a voice I could run to when life became scary, and someone whose presence made difficult things feel a little easier to face. You always looked out for me, and somewhere along the line, you became the father I never had. You came, and you gave.
